IFPEX and Air-Tech exhibitor roll-call continues
The International Fluid Power Exhibition (IFPEX) and Air-Tech – to be held at Birmingham’s NEC from 8-10 June – continue to attract new major names. Some of the most recent signatories to IFPEX include Tom Parker, Hydraquip and Indequip, while at Air-Tech rotary vane compressor manufacturer Mattei will again be exhibiting at Airtech following its successful presence at the show in 2008.
Geoff Kelley, commercial director of Hydraquip, said: “Visitors to the Hydraquip stand at IFPEX will be able to see first-hand some of the services offered by the company. The most prominent feature on the stand will be a fully kitted van from the Hydraquip on-site replacement hose service fleet. Fully equipped and stocked, satellite tracked and operating across the
UK, this is the ‘face’ of Hydraquip. Hydraulic Power Pack Solutions is another service on offer with a full start-to-finish service available for the bespoke power pack to meet a customer’s application. Hydraquip engineers are able to work on projects from the design stage right through to the ‘power up’ on site on packs of all sizes. The Braided Hose Division offers bespoke and off-the-shelf hoses with metal hose in sizes up to 8" on the stainless steel range available for same-day despatch in a choice of lengths and end fittings. Alongside this is a stock of 1 million plus braided rubber hoses for plumbing and heating applications accompanied by a selection bulk hose and fittings up to 2" bore. One of the components in the success of Hydraquip has been the acquisition of a number of companies and ‘adoption’ of entire teams with a wealth of knowledge and experience. This will continue to form part of the future plans of the company and we would welcome informal talks to explore possible ventures along these lines.”
Getting together
Richard Parker, sales director at Tom Parker, commented: “We work a lot with resellers in the UK and one of the key benefits of IFPEX is that it provides an ideal opportunity for us to get together with our partners in one place to ensure they are fully aware of the current ranges of products we hold UK distributorships for; including those from CEJN, CPC, Master Pneumatic and CDC. We have also taken a large stand at Air-Tech, where we will be displaying and demonstrating the EARS compressed air recycling system. This system recycles the exhausted air from air tools and returns this otherwise wasted energy back to the air compressor.”
Andy Jones, general manager of Mattei, commented: “Airtech is the only dedicated compressed air exhibition in the UK, so it is a great opportunity to meet clients, both existing and potential. We exhibited in 2008 and found it an interesting and very useful show, and I’m sure this year will be no exception. Mattei has the largest range of rotary vane compressors in the industry, and we will be showcasing these solutions at Airtech. Our team will be on hand to discuss our technologies, including energy efficient solutions, which are a big focus at the moment. For example, our Maxima compressor has a very high mechanical efficiency, using as little as an unrivalled 5.4kW of electricity to produce a cubic metre of air per minute, this can provide really significant returns on investment for the end user.”
The NEC in June 2010 is set to be the focus of the largest manufacturing and engineering event of 2010. Air-Tech, the International Fluid Power Exhibition (IFPEX), Drives and Controls Show, and Plant & Works Exhibition, taking place between the 8-10 June at the NEC, Birmingham will form part of the manufacturing and engineering series of shows alongside MACH 10, Subcon,, Electrex, and IP&EE.
Show organiser DFA Media believes its series of events ensures industry professionals will be able to gain the broadest insight concerning what industry solutions are currently available on the market.
